Got my new GTX 470 and cranked up the fan...

...all the way to 90%, and guess what? The sound made no
difference because my computer already sounds like a jet engine!
I could not hear any difference! haha!

It's keeping the temp right around 51 degrees celsius. I hope
that is fine?

Same here. I keep fans on 100% a lot. (I live in West Texas). Never had one go bad. But yes, they are loud.

You should get a new case with 120mm fans only, 80mm fans are so loud.
