Just pulled the trigger on 470!

Well I saw a drop to 279.99 for a nice galaxy GTX 470- reference heatsink in matt gray.

Got just cause 2 for free and star craft 2 coupon.

Im using a GTX 260 right now

So would the upgrade be really nice in performance in benchmarking?

Was it worth it at 279.99

I have masive cooling with ultra kazez and high speed slip kazez so i should be clear

GTX 260 to GTX 470 a good deal?

Just a tad up there at 40-50dollars more then the GTX 460 1gb so

lol yea its a good deal stop rubbing it in ppls faces now question is will that 260 be a dedicated physx card or will it be a 24/7 folder or will it get put out to pasture for another user to potentially take home and offer a good home to

Yes sir.

So actuall of the block price is 310 out the door with the addition of just cause 2.

But screw the game

For the card- Its 310 bucks for me.
23 dollars tax

but itll do the job

vs the 245-250 for the GTX 4601gb
extra 60 bucks and I pump the v core on this bitch and stay happy with my 470.

Yes, you will see a very nice performance boost with a 470 it's a great card!!.

I'm running two 470's in SLI and it's some amazing performance.

BOOM HEADSHOT!

Sweet deal, but its more of a side-grade going from SLI gtx260's to a single 470. But in return you'll have 3D vision potential, DX 11 and a smoother experience.

I'd suggest you plan to grab another 470 because in SLI gtx 470's are truly beasty.

Oh crap, i didn't see he had 2X GTX 260's.

But ya in that case, he will still see a performance increase, but nothing to significant.

Upgrading to a second card would definitely be worth his time.

I went from a 260 to a 470, got 15 more frames in crysis. If you can get an aftermarket cooler and mod in the stock vrm heatsink you might hit 850-900 on the core... which generates insane performance.
