So of the videos I have seen so far the characters have horrible textures, very low res, blurry, and not detailed. Plus, just like COD, lots of people play it online, but it has no sub fee, and there has been many talks of some way to rake in cash, since there is cash to be had, D2 still has a lot that play, and if D3 is really that good, who says there won't be an attempt to bank on it, so what if it means loosing people, turn on a sub fee after the games out, that way you rake in al lthe cash from opening sales, then if people leave, who cares, the ones that stay pay in cash.
If youve seen SC2 played on a screen (not a youtube video), then you will have a very good idea what Diablo 3 will most likely look like when its done. Starcraft 2 is very good looking, and nice thing about it is that it isnt amazingly taxing on the video card either. Many units will slow down a system if the textures are crazy detailed. Which is why I think Blizz did a good job of putting the amount of detail that they did in the characters. But to be quite honest, I do hope D3 looks even better and needs a stronger video card, just because I likes me some eye candies

But hell if they are going to charge monthly to let players have access to bnet for this game. I will personally start a riot in my own town

I am getting this game for sure but they better not make it Pay to Play or they lost my business. P2P is a bad move IMO if they take that path.

its gunna be like starcraft II, SP will require you to be online, and no LAN play.

subscriptions makes no sense in the diabloverse, unless they really crank up the amount of players possible in a game.

D1 was epic in all ways. I liked D2 but there was let downs like resolution and gore. I hope they don't make it linear that will annoy me no end. And there was only 2 acts i liked in D2 ( including a packs ) and that was Act 1 and Act 3.

As for GW found that extremely boring due to the crap AI and just got annoying getting enough people for a section.

NW3 better be good, but what are the chances of them going back to the roots of the game and forget about uber looking graphics ( which i all so hope D3 don't have too ). Don't get me wrong i like nice looking graphics but i like to see a more open playing field with a good story which NWN1\2 and D1/2 all had.

D3 looks interesting, but I'll wait for the reviews and then I'll wait for a sale on it somewhere.

ldn't ever expect Diablo to compete with a true RPG like Oblivion, but I sure do hope for more than 20 hours, that way you don't have to play through it 5000 times to hit the max level.

Someone remind me again how sore my ass and computer are going to be after getting mercilessly ravaged countless times by Diablo III's DRM...

It's hard for me to imagine buying another game from Blizzard after that debacle they called "WoW".

Most of my favorite games are on the order of 20 minutes (not hours). Long live the arcades!

I was thinking more like 80hrs to 100hrs. Let get our moneys worth. I hope the multiplayer is free just like other games like L4D1 and L4D2. I like that, it makes you buy more games like those

I would expect somewhere between 20 and 30 hours for the inital game, depending upon your play style.
Replay value with other classes would give you more.
Additional content (DLCs, expansions or mod community offerings) could increase that quite substantially.

I have been waiting for this game forever. Been PLaying TQ:IT, Sacred 2, and Dragon AGe to try and hold me over..

If they take LAN play away they better make up for it in some awesome feature. LAN play was one of my favorite things to do. Get some buddies over and go dungeon crawling for 12+ hours.

So since I heard about LAN being removed I am less excited about the game, but will still purchase it day 1, maybe even pre-order it.

I will probably honestly just play torchlight two. If SCII is any indication, they'll disable lan play in order to assure there is less piracy.

I don't know either thats why I was asking. I haven't bought any Blizzard games since Diablo II. I'm guessing the DRM will be the same as Starcraft II so I'll look that up.

I only mentioned WoW as being a debacle because of it's gameplay and fans, I don't know anything about it's DRM.
