no bnet 2 is what sc2 runs on, its really not bad. Chat rooms are coming, problly with d2, and custom games and parties already make up for no lan.

psh come on guys, just like sc2, someone will write an app that'll allow you to play via LAN. D3 whether blizzard includes LAN or not, will have it thanks to our awesome rebellious crackers disagreeing with blizzard.

there's a program out that is supposed to support it. The program is of course not supported by Blizzard. I've used it to play skirmishes offline so far.

EDIT: nvm there's a lan hack but i'm not sure how to do it, the skirmish program works great tho

SC2 lan hacked.
that's the info tho it doesn't really tell you exactly how to do it.

thats because they cant.. thats written like a 13 year old with downs wanted to rage against lack of lan support.

And the skirmish cracks are playing against custom ai thats nowhere near as competitive as the real thing FYI.

Cool, although not bothered about lan and i thought lan was pretty crappy as cheating was the thing that you see 99% of the time. Although Bnet lag was bad when it happened or when your moving a load of stuff and POOF server down..

meh i wont be buying it not since BNET2 allows them to take user created content and sell it if they wish no thanks. And lan play was the only reason i even played D2 no reason to bother with D3 now oh well probably just be another repolish and graphic upgrade situation with no really meaningful changes for the better. Ill wait and see but at this point meh

I'm still occaisionally asking valve to let me disable steam achievements on my account. So far, I just get flamed on steampowered.com's forums.

Lol, why are you asking them on the forums? Then again Steam's forums are a constant flamefest.

Jay wilson game director in a recent interview says:

" the game will came out when WE THINK is ready to come out, even storyline, all levels, characters are complete "

No marketing strategy no release date just deep passion for this game.

Is that what blizzard is known for, no deadlines... Only releasing games when they feel the games are complete.

W will pre order special collectors or whatever they have. I have been waiting for this game for so long - and though the cartoony look turned me off a bit - i believe after the feedback they have and will continue to even it out.

I don't care about lan play anymore - only used it a few times. Single and then multi after a few run throughs.

there is absolutely nothing that can stop me from having this game as soon as it can possibly happen.
