Samsung Intros 27-inch Full-HD Monitor with 1 ms Response Time

Samsung Japan recently added to its lineup, a 27-inch full-HD monitor with a blazing-fast response time of 1 ms. The new Samsung P2770FH makes use of a TN film panel with a matte screen. It features a piano black frame. Apart from the 1920 x 1080 pixels native resolution and 1 ms response time, the panel features a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (70,000:1 DCR), and maximum brightness of 300 cd/m². Display inputs include DVI, HDMI, and D-Sub. Samsung did not give out a price yet, but one can expect it to be on the higher side.

It seems that not many companies aren't adopting displayport, and I wonder why... considering it was desinged by VESA and is royalty free..

Because nobody wants it? DVI is fine for what 99% of users want.

the detail will be exactly the same...

if you mean that you'll have bigger pixels, i'm sure 1080P HDTV owners will be glad to know that they're losing 'fine detail' or whatever it is they're losing, by having a larger screen.

It's all about how close you're sitting to the screen. A higher dot pitch looks better if you're sitting close to a screen. A TV is never going to have that problem, as you're always sitting at least 1m or more away from it.

Maybe you should go see an optician?
I sit way closer to my computer screen than my TV, as in less than a meter compared to 2 meters or so...

lol same, so close I have to move my head to keep with the action.

27" sounds A'ok for 1080p, I have a 28" 1920x1200 monitor (ViewSonic VX2835wm) and IMO it's beautiful, pixel size is a non issue.
