clevo m570ru, freezing problem, don't know what's up

I'm having a problem with my laptop, it keeps freezing at random times, but only when browsing the web, watching a video, working with an app like photoshop & listening to music on itunes. Those are the only situations that it has chosen to freeze in.

It used to give me bsod's about pci.sys. But they stopped and now when it locks up I get either;

a dark red screen with black bits, a flashing red screen, a flashing blue screen, a pink screen & a bright red screen.

I red that the 8800m gtx can fail, so yesterday I baked it in the oven like the info on the web says, btw it still worked before the bake and still worked after (I just thought it might of been worth a try) I ran EFLC after I had put it all back together and it ran fine, no nosie, over heating or artifacts. (because for some reason, playing games doesn't make the machine freeze) Just like before.

Then I went and did some browsing, I saw some video on gamespot that I was interested in and clicked play and then the screen with blue and started flashing....

other things to mention are the cpu and wireless card in my laptop are both engineering samples, something which the chap who sold it to me forgot to mention. Anyway I've had it 8 months and it only started acting up around 1 month ago. I also noticed a small black area on the screen after testing the video card, which wasn't there before. Doesn't look like dead pixels, any idea what it could be?

I'm just at a loss on why it keeps freezing, I've ran out of ideas for now. I have put fresh thermal paste on both the cpu & gpu.
Oh and the first freeze after I put the machine back together happened when I tried loading everest, the 2nd attempt (after a reboot worked).

you baked it in the oven??!!!
why do people cook their hardware!!
microwaves can kill your ICs and stuff!!

its probably the HDD or the GPU that seems to be your problem.

People seem to think it's a ok thing to do. I haven't read any fail stories yet hehe. Besides I didn't microwave it, I baked it in a convection oven.

But anyway, a bad hdd could cause a flashing screen?

all the smart readings seem fine. I ran 3dmark earlier and it went through all the tests without a hitch. I have a feeling the screen is dying now, instead of the gpu, as the grey blotch was not there yesterday. I've tried various dead pixel fixes but its still there. I don't recall putting any pressure on the screen either. I only think its freezing because the screen goes all messed up, for all I know windows could still be doing stuff beyond the dodgy screen mess.

does the audio freeze too?

try running FRAPS and recording a video when you do stuff that makes it freeze. then watch the video in another computer, anything fishy should turn up.

the audio only freezes if I get a bsod, but if I get one of these weird blue, red or pink screens the audio keeps playing. Could that mean the screen is faulty? or would a faulty inverter cause this? I'm sorry but I know more about desktop parts than laptop parts.

I haven't been able to get it to freeze, lockup, make the screen go all garbled. It refuses to crash or do anything bad atm.
