Great GTX 480 clocks.
New results (still hot here in GA)
72C Ambient CPU Max: 46C GPU Max: 34C 1800MHz Shader (900MHz Core) not bad for a Fermi. Stock Voltage for now. ![]() Played Starcraft 2, Bad company 2, Left 4 Dead 2 for 1.5 hours. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us I'll keep going especially as it cools down, we'll see how far it will go. |

I'ma call you Gordon Ramsey
![]() What cooling gear are you using? must be something pretty extreme if it's pretty hot where you are now.

I bought the 480 as soon as EVGA could hook it up with the hydro copper back in early may i think. so i put together this water loop. It's been up and running all summer.
Been pushing the clocks harder every week just to see. Today 900MHz came up and its been liking it there (was at 1750 shader for a while). So it's been dead reliable for 5 months now during a hell of a summer. The setup is external tubing leaves the case and runs behind the TV to a radiator, pump, filler setup 5 feet away. Enzotec Sapphire is on the CPU. MCP655 pump and a large ass radiator. |

dude sweet clocks on the GTX480, I bet it honks along at those speeds.
like others have said, clock up the i7, 4ghz should be a since on customer w/c I will be interested to follow your progress, given your on stock voltage there, 900/1800 is sweet, but if ou boost that vcore, who knows whats possible. |

I am itching to find out how far that gpu can go. It was stable all day yesterday and last night. Furmark and games no issues at all. Following previous benchmarks I'm guessing 28,000 points in vantage. When i get home tonight ill bench it in Vantage with the new clocks. I guess since its a EVGA card i should use Eleet to bring the volts up instead of afterburner?

on my GTX460 I can push 940Mhz core + 2100mhz memory @1.087v I'm not sure if I could push it anymore than that, but anyway's you should at least match that ![]() ... and as for the software I don't think it actually matters as long as it's giving the correct reading's and working as it should

I'm busy as hell today but ill benchmark some more tonight and give it more stick monday. And yes that cpu should have no problem hitting ~4GHz. I still run my 8800GTS(G92) and the GTX275 in other computers and none of those clocked like this im very surprised so far.

i know where your coming from... my old 8800GT could rarely reach over a 100mhz overclock, but these Fermi's ...

Those GTX460s are one hell of a card, they also clock like crazy and for that price you can really get alot out of them.

Hows your VRM temps? I've heard that the Evga Hydro block neglects the vrm cooling. GPUZ should give you an idea of your temps under the sensors tab.

Even though its all liquid cooled i have all the fans on the HAF running hard and there is a decent amount of cool are hitting it. when i get home and run vantage tonight ill take a look at those, i checked em last night and everything stayed really cool. but yeah good call that might be what will limit this card in the end.
![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us This a pic from may when i built it. There is no reservoir and since the system hold alot of the liquid it takes a while to get up to temp. |

Quick Vantage benchmark this morning. Forgot to check the VRM temps but i might do that tonight. Not bad for a single gpu so far. later this week ill spend some time bringing up the cpu and maybe raising the gpu little further, shooting for 28000 on stock gpu volts. So far my guess is that the temps being so low even under massive load is helping the fermi run at these volts. Time will tell so far so stable in everything i have put it through.
![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us One weird question though, i see some i7 980x@4+GHz getting a low cpu score than what im getting whats up with that? |

Possibly different NB timings and FSB etc.
just some friendly advice (for mine and other viewers likings) I recommend using TPU's own image hosting, sometimes your screen shot's take awhile to load. http://www.techpowerup.org/
