.Vis files?
My attempts at googling have failed to find a program that makes use of .vis files. At work, I was asked to create an ID card for one of the new employees (Myself). They have a folder on the server called Employee ID Cards, and they're all .vis files. None of the PCs here seem to have any software capable of opening them. There's also a Word document that acts as a template it would seem. Anywho, my boss is on vacation and I'd prefer not to bother him with something small like this. Any thoughts on what software they might have been using to do this? Or what the deal is with .Vis files?

99% sure this isn't what you're looking for, but there's a watervis tool that patches Quake maps for transparent water. While the tool works on a specific map, it creates a .vis file with the vis data for that map.

![]() After a little googling it looks like Strata's StudioPro used the .vis image file format prior to version 2.0 ![]() Good hunting.
