Theater Research TR-606 remote?

My mom's boyfriend gave me this TR-606 home theater sound system, but it's inoprable without the remote, and he doesn't have it. Where can I find a replacment? I already did try Google, but all I got was something about white van speaker salesman scams.

How about using one of those "universal remote controls", they are like $3~$5 each.

EDIT: Here is one.

I'm pretty sure my Logitech Harmony remote would function that. Check out ebay for them

Dag, that's expensive.

A bit of good news: I managed to test the system out with some oddball copper wiring. Luckily, the reciever was set to an audible (albeit very low) volume, so I was able to see that it worked. Also, I got some hands-on experiance with the screw-in type recievers (the kind that uses banana plugs). It is possible to use bare wire... one less thing I need. Just a remote!

I'll keep that up my sleeve in case other plans fall apart.

@hat > I sure don't vouch for this site: MissingClicker.com; but they do take paypal.
And, it was the only place that has it; that I have found. You might want to go to the "Contact Us" page and see if they really have one, plus, if they answer at least you know someone\something is paying attention.

Do those remotes have a code for Theater Research. The only one I seen that had a code was the Logitech one and I don't have that kinda money.
