COD: Black Ops... PC vs 360

Okay so I for one am pretty amped up for this release… However I face a dilemma. I just started PC gaming again and I’m torn if I should get this for the 360 or pc. Problem is that all my friends only play 360 and I know I’m going to want to play with them at some point. I just invested a bunch of cash to get this gaming system so I want to take advantage of it. Plus I like shooters better on PC… (as far as controls and feel).

*

Does anybody else game on both systems? What will you favor for this game?

I can't stand playing FPS shooters with controllers. Tell your friends to buy PC's.

Let's hope so!

I haven't looked at bc2 vietnam yet. I'm assuming it looks promising?

Another one to watch for is crysis 2 in march. Booyeah.

i sort of agree with ya there because i tried half life on my pc (with a ps2 emulator)and found it hard to control, although i have played both versions (pc and ps2)
using a mouse always feels better and more accurate

although there is the age old situation of you can't really sit in bed or on a couch with a mouse

Not entirely true... A friend of mine has this piece of wood he used to support his mouse and keyboard when he's on his bed... Ghetto yes, but it gets the job done - for him at least. Always looked rather uncomfortable to me.

Sadly it comes with the territory, but well worth it.

What's worse, not being able to game on your bed/couch yet having an amazing gaming machine or being able to game on your bed/couch on out-dated inferior hardware?

In this situation, I am glad I use a trackball. Keyboard on lap, Trackball on cushion to the right.

Im trying to play some old school fps on N64. it is just not working like it should. I will stick to my PC for that. I am considering getting a console too, and I wont be playing FPS at all on it! PC FTW

Always. Have used the same one for YEARS. It is this one - Microsoft Trackball Optical:

I also use a MS Sidewinder X6 Keyboard. Both with long USB extensions to reach the couch for gaming on the Philips 1920x1080 52". Fits me just perfect. And when the gaming is done, just ditch the extension, plug them back in and set them back on the desk for some good productivity.

I had MW2 on both PC and 360 and enjoyed the 360 version far more.

Yes your correct that its easier to control on the PC, but my friends and work colleagues are all on 360 and I dont want new friends lol

and all this about pc v. xbox argument is a load of crap. I use to play all my games on PC and then i bought a 360. yes its odd to play FPS on a console with a controller but once you get use to it, its absolutely fine

Mind my asking what you preferred about the 360 version? Was it the lack of dedicated servers on the pc?

LOL. Really? Why? IMO, this is the best input device I have ever used. They quit making them a few years back, but they are very highly regarded. 5 buttons, optica, low friction ball, etc. Look at what one costs new, if you can find it.

I think you will appreciate it on console more, since that your friends are there. It will be great fun, and also there are people on the pc side using aimbots and stuff like that. Save the pc for proper games like Starcraft 2 or Civ 5
