RBE v1.26 launched

RBE v1.26 is out now!
These are the changes:
  • Added (preliminary) support for Radeon HD 6850 and 6870. Everything _should_ work, except for voltage modding.
  • Fixed minor WinFlash version detection bug.
  • Improved built-in hex editor search functionality (again).
  • Improved flashing procedure for more stability.
  • Fixed Dell Subvendor-ID, thanks to Clinton for the tip!
Have fun!!

Yeah, I have the same problem: I can flash any bios on my 6870 and it works fine, but if I edit the clocks frequencies with RBE 1.26 (no matter how much) and flash the card the PC boots fine but as Windows loads I get the black screen.

Glad you're looking into this.

Any chance of HD 6790 support with adjust core volt and mem volt, will happily paypal donate for a fully supported HD 6970 RBE, I want flash my card with 1.3 volts and bit more on the memory should reach 1600mhz easily

Just checked out these bios's can't see any difference between these and the stock bios's except that these have been altered with RBE.

What are these for? Am happy to test out on my HD 6970

They were for voltage control experiments.

Why would I? I don't need any testing done here...
Expect RBE v1.27 tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, if W1zzard finds the time to upload
the new version after his return from Vegas.

lol I meant after someone explains what the differences are.. If someone could enlighten us..

Anyway they are for voltage control testing.. Can I get better oc with these? Actually just gonna wait until new RBE is here, I want a decent flashed bios and say goodbye to software overclocking

System Specs

TechPowerUp Radeon Bios Editor v1.27 is out!

v 1.27
Added volt modding capability for CHL8214 voltage controller (reference design 6870 and 6850 cards).
Added volt modding capability for VT1556M voltage controller (reference design 6970 and 6950 cards).
Changing DeviceID now changes both locations properly (hopefully) all the time.
Changing VendorID should work in more cases now.
Added some new DeviceIDs (6950/6970).
Updated WinFlash link.
Updated RBE's internal BIOS extraction method to account for "ATI" labelled "AMD" now.
Improved Hex editor interface a little.
Fixed method 1 overdrive hacking signature extraction for 6xx0 cards. Only superficially tested due to no available non-reference signatures yet.

Thank You, BAGZZlash.
