Does it feel snappier? 36ns is the lowest I've seen for memory.

It's a "K" series chip as in unlocked multi, generally a little more expensive than the locked multi counterpart. Same as AMD with the BE, only with a non-BE you still get bus overclocking ability, with intel you won't.

I don't understand everyone flipping out over having to use the multi, this is only an issue if the k series is absurdly expensive which I highly doubt they will be. The prices should be the same as the current k series, and any other i7 - around $300.

Sorry, have you got proof its FUD? infact there are a lot of sites who have all said the same and any sighting of the chips seem to back this up.

It's not a major issue as the "K" chips have unlocked multis, though they are "slightly" more expensive, just how much so is yet to be seen.

Do you have proof it is true?

The same exact thing occurred with 1366 and 1156, including screen shots of no bclock movement. Intel hardly ever supports total overclocking, but that hasn't stopped 3rd party board makers from doing so.

I'd assume it's true because we've seen plenty production boards sticking too the 100mhz bus, and most of these overclocking feats have been done by renown overclockers. I doubt they didn't at least try a bus overclock, so I'm left thinking the only remaining way for this situation to change is them releasing some magic bios revisions down the line. That I'm really not expecting.

My question was do you have proof its FUD as you claimed? No you don't just as I don't have proof its not..... BUT all benches and the newly released K series chips 1 year after the release of x58 and p55 kind of back up the theories out there not too mention the architecture has changed and that it looks like overclocking bclk might not be possible so having an unlocked multi seems the way to go.

Truth is none of us know, though in the next month as more benches appear I think we will.

Nope, I don't have proof, just like nobody has proof it is true. We just have to wait and see. Even if it is true, I don't think it will remain that way.

I still think it's FUD.
