Gigabyte Unveiled New Full-Height GeForce GT 430 Graphics Card

Gigabyte announced a new non-reference design GeForce GT 430 graphics card that features high-quality components to facilitate better overclocking. The card comes overclocked out of the box, too, with clock speeds of 730 MHz core, 1460 MHz CUDA cores, and 1800 MHz DDR3 memory, against reference speeds of 700/1400/1800 MHz. The card sports 1 GB of memory across a 128-bit wide DDR3 memory interface. It is DirectX 11 compliant, and features 96 CUDA cores. Gigabyte's full-height card makes use of a double slot fan-heatsink that makes use of an 80 mm fan. The company did not announce pricing or availability, yet.

IMO, that is a waste, if they are going full height, might as well put GDDR5 memory on it. I think people need to stop making DDR3. There are already plenty of DDR3 cards around, continue with GDDR5 or damn, put GDDR4 on it or something.
