Cooler Master Also Intros NVIDIA Edition of CM 690 II Advanced

Cooler Master backed up the HAF-X NVIDIA Edition with another NVIDIA-themed case launch, this time a modified version of the CM 690 II Advanced. The NVIDIA Edition variant of this popular case uses a more restrained use of the gaudy shade of green used on the HAF-X NVIDIA Edition, and uses just subtle lines of metallic green instead of the two chrome lines on the original design. The blue-illuminated front intake fan is replaced by a green one, and the side panel uses a window shaped after the NVIDIA "eye" logo, using green tinted acrylic. Internally, all features of the original CM 690 II Advanced are retained, except the green colored HDD trays, which look arguably less gaudy when seen through the window.

The CM 690 II Advanced can accommodate ATX and MATX cases, it uses an all-black interior, with several cable management and tool-free features. It measures 214.5 x 511.8 x 528.8 mm. The case uses perforated metal that runs through the front and top, with the front fan intake, four 5.25" drive bays, and front-panel that holds USB, eSATA, audio, and a SATA drive dock along the way; ending with two 140 mm top exhaust fan vents. Fans included are a 140 mm green-illuminated front intake, a 140 mm top exhaust, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. The CM 690 II Advanced NVIDIA Edition is priced at €110.

This looks so much better than the Haf-X Nvidia edition.

Looks way better indeed. Looks like 2 different designers. I wonder what kind of presentation slideshow the haf maker shown the execs for them to approve of such design (HAF's)

Also, I wonder how well 480 SLi would scale on a 780i..

Nice, hopefully these will be available in the next month when I build my new rig, might be worth a look in, current choice is the Coolermaster Storm Sniper Black Edition

Yeah, they also forgot to put HDDs, optical disk drive, SLI bridge... Maybe this motherboard doesn't contain a processor under the V6GT.

Its only a matter of time, I guess, since nearly every case they crank out (the highest selling ones at least) get that treatment sooner or later.

This looks quite nice, the mixture of green and black is tastefully done (unlike with the HAF-X).

Agreed I don't know how the HAF Nvidia edition made it past the bigwigs at coolermaster. This one is pretty nice however.

They must've released these two nvidia cases strategically. Release a horrible lime vomit HAF version alongside a pretty decent albeit plain CM690. Then everyone says "OMG, this one looks SO much better than the other one! I'm gonna get me one!"... Instant sales boost

IIRC, there were already two Cooler Master Cases branded as "nVidia Edition". I will look into that.

Heh, you expect that 1000w psu to keep up with those Nvidia graphics cards?

Better keep it real than to show 2 of those Nvidia graphics cards able to run off a 1000w psu.

I don't know what do you mean by "Stacker" (cool name ), but I did some search (since I didn't remember) and the chassis I was talking about where the Elite 334 and, like you said, the original 690.

If you're referring to that particular model of PSU, I wouldn't be sure, but I've read a review on a GTX580 Tri-SLI setup (with an OC'ed CPU, ofc) in which the maximum total power consumption peaked at ~930W, so a 1000W would be somewhat pushing it, but could handle the load on a GTX580 SLI setup.
