System Specs

Gigabyte SOC Tri fan gtx 470 208.99 Conus.

Okay found out today that per Gigabyte this non ref Super Over Clocked GTX 470 isn't compatible with my Gigabyte AM3 790xt motherboard. The driver for Vista 64 conflict with my chipset so I never got it to install correctly. So now I'm forced to sell it. It is in perfect shape and will come with all it's original accessories and box, plus the guy I bought it from sent me the invoice and never registered it , so the warranty is intact for whoever buys the card. I will also allow you to return the card if you have any trouble at all. Again according to Gigabyte there is zero wrong with this card it is a conflict with my motherboard and not just this card but the non ref Gigabyte gtx 460 aswell. P.S. this card retails for 300.00 shipped.

I will be putting this on ebay so if you want it get it soon.

What kills me is my motherboard is a Gigabyte and every other card MSI gtx 460,Galaxyand Asus gtx 480's , XFX 5870, Asus 5850 and works fine with this board but the two non ref Gigabyte Fermi cards won't work with my motherboard. Heck one I unboxed sealed from Micro Center today and it won't get past the boot screen. It will load in safe mode or prior to the drivers loading but once the drivers load bam it freezes and per Gigabyte it's my drivers , Vista and this motherboard not playing together right. However they said both cards are fine, and the guy I bought this card from removed it two days ago from his SLI rig and states it worked great. I believe him, I'm 99.99 percent sure the card is fine and it is my motherboard. The chances of getting two bad cards is very slim. So I'm back to my 8800 gt (which works great) and boots fine.

Well I never got this card installed correctly so and I don't like selling things I cannot test on TPU.

Second Bill is a friend and trading partner from this forum and if he has a single problem at all he can RMA the card with the receipt to Gigabyte or two give it back to me with a no hassle return. Thats how I roll lets leave this thread open and see how it works out. P.S my trusty 8800 gt driver crashed about 3 seconds ago. I think I have some strange issues here. I wonder if my PCI X16 slots could be dying.

sold to BILL

better yet lets close this thread and let Bill follow up here anyone ever hear of trouble with GIGA SOC not ins... I bet he does better than I did.

I used to love Vista but now it is killing me AH!!!!!!!
