EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Pictured
EVGA is ready with its stock of GeForce GTX 570 graphics accelerators. Canadian online store NCIX.com listed one of its GTX 570 models at a pre-order price of $414 CAD (US $411). What these pictures also reveal is that NVIDIA's reference board design of the GTX 570 is exactly the same as that of the GTX 580, with just two memory chips removed (128 MB x 10, instead of 128 MB x 12); and the GTX 570 GPU configuration. GeForce GTX 570 has 480 CUDA cores, it connects to 1280 MB of GDDR5 memory over a 320-bit wide memory interface.

It is so tempting to sell my GTX470 and GTX460s for two of these...

I hope AMD hits nVidia right between the eyes with the 6900-Godess to get them off their High-Price-Offers

How do you figure? I'd say $400 is slightly high, but I don't think $350 would be unreasonable for this card.

Why couldn't NVIDIA just call them the GTX 485/475?

Same reason they had to call G92 cards 9800 in stead of 8800 like they originally planned. ATi named their tweaked cards a new generation so marketting requires that nVidia do the same.

Its a super clocked card hence the 400USD price tag, reference one is rumored to be around 350USD and not to forget that hardware is 20-30 bucks expensive in Canada as compared to US.

Nice.. I am soon upgrading my aging EVGA GTX 260 and was planning on getting a GTX 460 as an upgrade. Well, now the GTX 5xx series cards are arriving and this is looking nice. I am hoping tho, upon release, the $$$ will drop down a bit.. That price listed in the first post is a little steep. But, by the time I am ready to purchase my upgrade, I am hoping the GTX 560 will be available.. and be more in my price range. We'll see..

That price seems kinda high. Over here, I bet it'll be like 440€ and so not worth it...
Nice set of features, though... |

Roll on the 6970's. UK prices for some 580's are nuts. Why buy a castrated 580 (this 570) when you can buy a full fat 580 or wait for the 6970?

I just think the cheaper the better, more profit. Thats all i was saying. But hey i never own a high end card before, if the card can allow you to play any game on the market at max settings 60 frames, maybe it is worth 400+ |

Awesome sauce!
However I think 300-330 should be the price point, because at 480 cores if this is basically a cheaper 480 that runs cooler it shouldn't be more than a 5-9% preformance gap and with 470's @ 230-270 I don't see the 100 dollar premium, but then again I want hard numbers before I make my call. Also in before more AMD trolls thread crap. |

It really should be very close to a 480, with the pricing that's what it seems to be replacing. And the price between the superclock and normal 580 is $10 right now, so I really wouldn't count on it being much cheaper. I'd say we'd need a 560 before the 470 loses it's usefulness.

It has the core of a GTX480, but the memory system of a GTX470. So a GTX475...
At $350 it isn't exactly overpriced for what it is.
