I'm interested in the new shader architecture. I want to know if they fold better than the previous generations. It's still going to be inferior to Fermi's PPD but it should at least be a step in the right direction.

I know you were thinking more $350-$450 and i was thinking more $500+ but seeing these prices make me concerned.

I be glad when W1z has his reviews released to see if waiting would be worth it.

Had to jump on a 6970. I was considering 2x 6870's but at $370... I couldnt help it. Hell, if I dont like it, someone on TPU can buy it. Or my 4890s will be for sale soon and Ill grab another 6970, assuming my PSU can take it.

If the 6990 or GTX 595 are PCI 2.1 and I have a PCI 2.0 motherboard, will it still work?

Yes, just like 2.0 cards work in 1.1 and 1.0 motherboards.

If the 6950 clocks anything like the 6850's have been that's going to be a scorcher.

Also think a price drop on the 68xx cards will be in order after this

Ok. This is weird. There are no reviews even thought the product has been released. Is AMD trying to hide something?

maybe they're not allowed to start selling them til midnight tonight?

even if that is the case I must continue to tell myself that my 5850 is doing just fine and I do not need to upgrade. Maybe it will die on me then I can upgrade!
