Will either of these X800 cards unlock? One is GTO the other not.

I'm about to click buy on one of these cards but I wanted to be sure that I could unlock it first. I have read conflicting reports with some saying that only the X800 VIVO cards could be unlocked, but that was a while back. So would the Sapphire unlock?

The first one is a Sapphire X800 GTO PCI-E (non VIVO) card from newegg.

The second card is an MSI X800 PCI-E card but it's not a sapphire, do you think it could be unlocked?

I have no idea if these cards have either the r480 or r430 cores. I guess you don't know until you do a fuse data check?

The link doesn't work, it sats can't be found. The Sapphire GTO might, unlock, might. You never know for sure if it's an R430 or R480. If it's R430, you might be able to unlock the rest of the four pipes.

So I would want the 430 core because that one has a chance of unlocking and the 480 not?

OK, I fixed the links, the above links should work now

I would go with the Sapphire. R480 unlocks too, but most X800GTos by Sapphire are R430s, but you might, might, get an R480.
