Cooling for single PCB GTX 295
So while I don't have a GTX 295 I do have a GTX 275 co-op physx edition card from EVGA that has the GTX 275 and a GTS 250 on the same PCB. They use the exact same cooling solution that the single PCB 295's used. My question is has anyone taken the cooler apart and lapped just the gpu coolers? It looks like I could take off the two heatpipe coolers without even having to remove the entire cooling plate/assembly from the card itself. I only wonder since it's the winter and my temps still climb a little higher than I'd like while folding 24/7. Honestly they aren't bad at all, I just like to get as good as possible with what I already have. For reference gpu temps for the 275 chip is the higher of the two at 64 C and the PCB temp is around 45 C.
