HIS Intros Radeon HD 6850 IceQ X Series Graphics Cards

HIS started shipping two new models of graphics cards based on the AMD Radeon HD 6850 GPU, that use the company's in-house IceQ X design board and cooling solution. The two consist of a base model that sticks to AMD reference clock speeds, and a Turbo model that comes overclocked out of the box. The IceQ X cards use a standard length blue-colored PCB on which sits the IceQ X cooler. The cooler makes use of a slightly large aluminum fin array to which heat is conveyed by 8 mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes, which is centrally ventilated by a 92 mm fan. The cooler is covered by a frosty-looking shroud. The base model uses 775/1000 MHz (core/memory actual) clock speeds, and the Turbo model runs at 820/1100 MHz.

It doesn't exhaust all the hot air out of the case?

It looks like two 8mm and two 6mm heat pipes, it should do a great job of cooling the core.

I think these days unless you are using a case from the 90's venting into the case is not a big problem, i admit i do prefer blower style coolers as it's easier for me to direct my airflow as i don't use a case but i will happily use either kind.

Finally! I honestly thought HIS had dropped the iceQ.
I have not bought a new (Brand New that is) card since my HD3850 iceQ 3`s
nothing has really drawn my attention enough to buy
(oh sure maybe my i7 rig has dual 9800gx2`s I bought second hand BUT THAT IS IRRELEVANT) .
MY NEW CARDS ARE FINALLY HERE!!!

@SetsunaFZero
I know, but i prefer the ICEQ coolers which actually vent the air out of the case. Just my preference

On a looks perspective I still prefer the old Ice-Q models which exhaust outside the case, ever since my 9800Pro 128mb Ice-Q they just kept looking better and better...

By far my favorite IceQ cooler from HIS:

That beast even glowed blue under UV. Man I loved that card pencil modded.

I honestly think the new cooler doesn't live up to some of their previous ones.
