This one is just a less power consuming, quieter, 10 bucks cheaper GTX 470

HD6950 is some 10% faster, consumes 20W less power and costs less than 10% more. And once the announced HD6-series price cut comes to effect...

And then we have HD6870 which has way higher perf/buck than GTX560.

I don't see the apparent devastation it is causing in terms of energy efficiency?
The only (competition's) current generation card it beat is the 6970, and that's by 2%. Unless they're talking about it pwning the GTX570 & 580 which it beats by >10%.


Anyway, despite it being way, wa...y overhyped in marketing, it is a good looking card and I like the ripple effect it's causing in prices. I just wish the price drops affected Southern Africa sooner, I'm buying the 6950 tomorrow.

I'm honestly having a VERY hard time deciding if I want this card for my next MAIN gpu @ $250 it has good performance but @ $290 a reference 6950 2gb model that can possibly unlock to a 6970 seems like it may be a better deal and on the other hand a 5850 @ $180 with a $50 MIR seems better yet...tbh a 5770 would work fine for me but I'd like little more power and @ roughly the same price a 5850 could be had but if I'm gonna spend that much why not spend $60 and just get a 560 ti........dammit I have 8 days to decide hopefully some prices will drop by then
