GIGABYTE Launches New Mainstream NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 Series Graphics Cards

My 9800GT can run the latest games perfectly, so yea your gtx 260 is mainstream performance area. Are you saying older cards can't run the latest games, because that is not true.

I still consider the GTX260 high end. When I think of mainstream, I think onboard graphics, or some ancient POS like the 6200LE I keep seeing in B&M stores all over for $100.

GTX 260?
this thing is slower than a 8800GTS (640/320mb) based on the g80 from 2006, slower than a 9600GT... poor gf108... only 4ROPs and 16TMUs... really exciting an overclocked GT 430 ![]() the OEM GT 440 is a much better card (based on gf106) |
