System Specs

Overvolting Gtx 570

hey techpowerup!!!!

I need help overvolting my new zotac gtx 570, its just i don't know how high can i overvolt to reach 800mhz for gpu, 1600 for shader clock and 1000 for mem....?(if i can...)

my pc specs are:
intel q9550 e0 stepping oc @ 3.6ghz, mem ddr2 ocz 800mhz@850 (cpu-fsb 1:1),
2xseagate barracuda 250gig and 1xseagate b.160gig, psu is corsair gs700watt and 2xdvd rw drives
motherboard is gigabyte p35 dq6
os is win7 ultimate 64bit

please help coz u got the knowledge in this area....

800 is doable on stock volts i find tho im using an EVGA version

im usin msi afterburner and codmw2 crashes after 15 mins of gameplay, i tryed lowering memory but still it crashes...
ok im gonna try with evga...

System Specs

Check this thread out before overvolting too much...a few people are having issues with their 570s being destroyed from overvolting. It seems the VRMs aren't quite up to the task.

950+mhz on the core is doable at 1.1v using msi afterburner beta

well after reading the thread u suggested JATownes, shit i can't afford to buy me another one if this one eats the dust....so im gonna overclock a bit but without overvoltaging, hell no....

System Specs

Ive got mine running mint at 825/1010/1650 @ stock voltage, though mine is Evga. Not really worth the risk overvolting it

His 570 burned because he pumped Max volts and removed the power throttle thing. No shit its gonna burn out..just becareful if you overvolt

If you are going to overvolt, don't go over 1.1v on the GTX570 cards. In fact I wouldn't go over 1.09v actually.

W1zzard himself has reported killing a GTX570 with the throttling in place. Disabling the power throttling didn't cause these cards to die, and leaving it enabled doesn't help any. It might save the card during furmark, but it will just burn up doing normal tasks that aren't regulated by the throttle anyway.
