I am definitely excited for this game. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two. I thought I saw at the end of one of the trailers that it will be released for consoles too. I just got a PS3 and have been looking for some good action RPG titles to play on it, so I actually hope it does (even though that will probably mean the PC version gets a dumbed down UI).

Yes! Can't wait. Enjoyed the first 2. This and torchlight 2 will be my hold over until Diablo III.

Played the first one, never could get past the mines. Played the second on, not much interest. Hopefully this one will be better.

At its core, Dungeon Siege is an action RPG game. What makes it different from Diablo is that you command a team of 'toons, not just one. This allows you to specialize and to cater to specific strengths and weaknesses of each character. And you pick these characters up along the way as part of the story line, so your strategy may change depending on who you invite into your group, and who you disband.

So there are two, three, maybe four characters running around together killing baddies. You can specialize one in healing, one in melee, one in ranged, and one in magic (combat or nature). Or you could specialize them all in melee, or all in magic, etc. Each character is controlled individually, can equip weapons and armor individually, and level up individually. You start with one core character that you always keep, but the rest of the team comes and goes as you see fit.

There was actually a decent multiplayer aspect to the game too. I think was only available on PC before, but this new one will be PC and consoles so it will be interesting to see how multiplayer changes. All the trailers I've seen so far claim that multiplayer was a large focus during the development of the game, so it should be good.
