Help me pls! Files are gone!

I have cut and paste some files and the files were i put them in the external hdd are gone!!!
The external hdd is all free!!! Help me pls!

Sandisk RescuePRO if you can find it....got it here including what is needed to make it run

I was looking at there site and it is CClean ! How well is there other free software like the defrag and the Recuva ? I use bad copy pro for file recovery it has worked great for years now .
