In light of Conroes launch date approaching I have started to wonder, How many enthusiasts here preorder as opposed to waiting for post launch reviews, even if they know it will rock?

Conroe has poor performance in RAID, it's a core design defect.

I'm not only talking about conroe. Just in general, new video cards and other hardware too.

I wait for reviews because of the tendancies for first-gen stuff to be crap and the fact that pre-order stuff if probably very popular, out of stock, and hideousely overpriced. Video games are an exception though
