It says Zambezi, if its the 8 core one, I will not be surprised, but it also means that Bulldozer is not as impressive as I hope it would be.

There's going to be 4-core, 6-core, and 8-core bulldozers.

So of course, it should be able to out render the i7.
But in terms of raw performance, it will still be owned...

Little early to determine this. I would not believe anything you see until it is official. It would be nice to see AMD return to kicking Intel's ass like the old days...

AMD has designed Bulldozer 8 core to compete in terms of performance(where it wins), price, and die size with Intel's 8/12 cores(aka 4 core 8 thread and 6 core 12 thread). So seeing these results make me nothing but happy.

Having AMD just go with an entire new architecture and come on par with SB and or i7 is a major accomplishment. I do not expect it to be over the top performance but I do expect it to level the playing field with Intel while maintaing a fairly low cost. And for that I will ALWAYS buy AMD!

if it really is a "true" 8/12 core cpu with 8/12 actual cores then theese numbers wont surprise me. amd never really played with Hyperthreading so im sure they will be badass. but then intel will release a cpu with 8 core/16 threads and stomp it!
