Weird thing: my ability to click the "thanks" button as dissappeared.

GFuys, I have a rather weird issue: my ability to click the "thanks" button has disappeared. I tried it with both Firefox 4.0 and Opera 11 and in both cases the problem occurs. Any clues on the cause?

i think you can only thank so much in a set period of time to prevent abuse that may or may not be your issue

Thanks button works ok for me and I'm on Firefox 4. Have you installed any plugins that might conflict with it, perhaps?

Works fine for me on Firefox 3, Firefox 4, and Chrome 10. Maybe you've thanked too much recently? Also, check the HTML (right-click page, view source) for the thanks button. The source code should look like this:

Yes, I believe there is a "thanks" cap in a given amount of time.
We had a member give thanks to 100s of people before being banned.

I lost my ability to give thanks in a certain thread once, but I was able to thank in another thread. I think there's a cap for each thread within a certain period of time, and then another overall limit?

I've thanked quite a lot, looking at other poeple's.

The best thing to do now is hit the "You Suck" button.
It's right next to the thanks button.
If you don't see it, well .. Make your own conclusions.

In reality ... try the thanks button again after a day or so.

It has appeared again, so I guess there is indeed a maximum number of thanks per a given period of time.
