Inno3D GTX 570 mini-review

This would be my first ever try in making a video card review, so bear with me.

AFAIK, there aren't any reviews on this particular card yet. It is similar to the reference yes, except for two key differences: 1. the cooler is similar to the cooler of the GTX 560 Ti and 2. the outputs in the rear are two DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort.

Check the Inno3D website however, and no mention or picture of such a card is there, i.e. they are not differentiating this "reference" card from the previous version (which is what you see in the GTX 570 page of the Inno3D website).

EVGA has a similar card, which they differentiate in name as the GTX 570 HD.

TEST SETUP
MSI P67A-GD65 (LGA 1155)
Intel Core i7 2600 @ 3.4GHz
Kingston 2x4GB (1333MHz) DDR3 RAM @9-9-9-24
Coolermaster eXtreme Power Plus 600W
270.61 WHQL Drivers
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 1

THE CARD
The box:

If you squint a bit, you can see the price. 16,600 pesos (or around $386). It's a bit cheaper than HD 6970 2GB's over here, whose prices range from 16,800 to 17,000 pesos ($390-$395). And this wasn't even the cheapest GTX 570 here.

This is how it looks like:

The card requires 2 6-pin connectors, as you can see here:

The bundle is quite good. I'm using the Mouse Mat right now (my A4Tech mouse is hardly a "gaming mouse" though), while I was able to get the 3DMARK 11 Advanced Edition earlier too.

OpenCL is weirdly unchecked after I updated drivers.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------SUMMARY------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well there's not really much else to say here, other than this is a great card. Overclocking is not that great however. Yet considering that AMD's HD 6970 2GB is slightly more expensive than this card yet lagging in performance (if you check other reviews).

The cooler is not terribly loud too. Yet in my case noise is not much of a factor anyway, considering there's an even louder fan right behind me as I type this.

More on the overclocking - it's quite possible that it was a bit underwhelming because of the ambient temperatures (it's summer here, and apparently it's 30°C) or maybe just the card itself. Or perhaps even both. Regardless the gains were still good.

So that's my first "mini-review" and I hope you liked it.

eagerly await your results man! throwing in any overclocked benchmarks in the mix?

even at stock I am eager to see your results to see if my system might be holding my GTX570 back, but at 1080P with high IQ and AA I doubt it.

so far your AVP bench results mimic mine within the margin of error, I had 39.80 FPS where you had 39.67, excellent stuff man, great set of tests

also did you check out my mini GTX460 vs GTX570 review in the same section of the forums here? our threads look quite similar

nice results

I find thats quite a mild overclock, is that as far as she goes on stock voltage, I assume you havent overvolted for those clocks. with a bit more juice you should be looking at 850-900mhz core, just keep a close eye on temps.
