APB: Reloaded

Had anybody played the original APB before it closed? Also, anybody in the current "reloaded" beta?

I got in, and I'm just wondering if it's worth downloading and trying because the original APB was extremely boring.

I played the original before it closed, I really enjoyed the concept its just the Devs. didnt do anything after release, no optimizations or improvements to the balance of the weapons and most of all they just kinda let cheats run rampant. Some of the missions could have been a little better but the best part was grouping with others and having some fun. Ill probably try reloaded just to see, seems like they have done alot that needed done in the original.

Yeah, I just tried it. It's NO different than the original APB.

Zero gameplay, except this one is Free to Play, except everything in game costs money, guns, cars, clothing, etc.

And, here's the best part (lol) you don't even own the equipment or cars that you buy, it's leased.

Giant money trap with no gameplay? no thanks.

This may sound crazy and all but it is really hard to figure out all these acronyms . Why do we have to abbreviate every thing ? I am sitting here reading this trying like hell to figure out what APB stands for the only thing I can come up with is Albuquerque police Burrow ! So Could some one please tell me what the HELL this game is called ? Thank you .

It's a very old acronym for the police that stands for "All Points Bulletin".

The original beta could be fun in huge groups but there were several moronic things that absolutely needed to be fixed that never were... maybe they are now but I dunno.

Car handling sucked but wasn't completely awful once you got used to it. I was pretty fucking good and usually did all the driving.

Weapon balance was abysmal, clans were handled like shit and literally given infinite amounts of the best weapons for free. Shit just showed up in your mail magically for being in a gigantic mega clan.

Fucking. Car. Chases. Yeah that's fun losing because when I accepted the APB the bad guys are one mile away in the fastest car (read: same speed as mine) and it's borderline impossible to ever catch them unless they kill themselves.

APBs were comically abusable and you could break it to the point where you could start shooting, accept it, and kill someone in one second as you stand right next to them. It was awesome actually because I was an enforcer. I ended the last day of beta murdering one group so many times in their own spawn that I shot up to the max rank and it announced that I was joining the server every time.

Customization was amazing though
