Sad part.. I have Pat Xtreme's as well (4gb 2k kit).. Their good at their timmings, but I couldn't fondle them enough to get anything good out of them.. Not as much as I could with the PiS..

The read speeds wasn't as good at the piS at the same speed and timmings.. Well the kits I've played with.

Their just sitting in a box somewhere since I couldn't sell them a while back.. lol

likely both kits are various bins of PSC ICs.

I have much love for both sets and brand names. I don't think either call is the "wrong" way to go.

Sure, you're probably bang on.

But, it seems kits with TRCD +1 higher are the better kits.

7-8-7 1.5v 1600 vs 2000 9-11-9 1.65. 2000 should just be faster outta the gate, depending on bclk. I mean ,do you wanna overclock, or run stock?

I tell ya what.

Can you swing these?:

G.SKILL PI 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1...

Should do 8-9-8 @ 2000, if you get a really good set, maybe 2400 9-11-9-27 @ 1.65v-1.7v

Careful clocking CAS6 though, it's a RAID killer.

I have 12gigs in my rig and just picked up another stick for $40 to make it 16. They are some cool looking heat sinks.

will do. I never relaly paid much attention to ram timings but now that ive researched that mhz can only so much and that timings can help a lot out in badwidth ill definitely do some fine tune tweaking
