Some thoughts of a end user / prospective customer.
![]() Screen: Nice matte non glare screen = immediate sale or shortlist product. I hate the glare idi-osity of most laptop manufacturers, just like Ipad useless with more than 75w light equivalent. Video card: Is there a option for a better video card, basic entry level pda / mobile phone video cards like 6970m or 485m otherwise if 555m only then I can buy a Dell laptop = 555m not upgradeable = deal breaker. Can you actually do anything except word and flash youtube with the 555m video card ? ![]() Wifi Killer wifi would be a great option, no MS products as I was forced to purchase, (15 XP + Win7 dvd's / keys) and still running linux most of the time. Why is everyone offering the intel junk wifi ? Budget laptops Why this budget $899 laptops when Eurocom is supposed to be Gaming laptop / performance laptop. Surely Eurocom is not know for a 555m 17" pda like Apple is known for. Decent cpu's Why is there no i7-2600k desktop of mobile cpu laptops, why the old HM65 ? I am already thinking twice about p67 / i7-2720QM / 6970m / vertex3 as being old and under powered and should I buy or no,t now this old "newly released" makes me wonder why is the laptop market in such a poor state of affairs ? I need to upgrade not downgrade from my 3 and 5 year old laptops. ![]() Just a few points / questions I have had to explain to many people that might help Eurocom and other laptop manufacturers catch up to at least 2003 - 2006. Same reason why I refuse to buy Apple as they have not built a laptop since the G4 and I am not in the market for a 17" irritation / 17" pda. I travel so I need a desktop replacement that is 16"-17" not a Ipad that I curse every day for being so stupid as to buy. It is always plugged in unless of and stowed away. PS> can this laptops do anything like 3ds max or folding or linux development / source compiling or similar for $1200-$1500 ? ![]() IE: 2720qm + 6970m + intel 67 chipset = $1500, ssd vertex 3 or corsair force 3 $1500 total would be ideal. Nothing out there is worth paying more for unless a desktop cpu and xfire in a laptop. Hope this helps with next product launch and NO I will not use cloud computing, no security computing and have my cloud account hacked again and all data lost. Local pc power is perfect and always will be so local game server or no sale for a new game.

1) 144 Shader, 192 bit memory interface with GDDR3 memory (1.5GB) - as fitted to the M14x 2) 96 Shader, 128 bit memory interface with GDDR5 memory (1GB or 2GB) http://www.nvidia.com/object/product...t-555m-us.html The latter model will be slower in real world gaming (assuming the rest of the laptop is the same). Oddly this laptop appears to have the latter model but with GDDR3 memory instead? That would make it a mere clock bumped GT540m.
