Unfortunately for me, I have neither the balls or the funds to attempt it right now.

Its funny how some random forumer can tell that it wont out perform the air coolers. the H70 is no different from the top air coolers if used with the same high performance fan with acceptable noise levels. Pretty sure the H80 will out perform the H70 in terms of noise profile and the H100 will out perform even the best top aircooler with a lesser noise profile.

Im just wondering how to use the H100 for cases that dont have top 120x2 exhausts.

If the H100 is made by CoolIt, then their 240mm CoolIt ECO should be an indication of its performance... and I'm not impressed.

I'm just glad to see that closed loop ready-to-install water cooled systems are now also featuring 240mm grills. With so many cases supporting that size I was sure we'd see 'em sooner or later!

? We're talking about an unreleased product. All other platforms are being phased out. You will inevitably be on 1155 or 2011 which will run remarkably cool. AM3+ probably will fall in line as well. Extreme cooling just isn't relevant this gen. Going to a crazy WC setup might get you what, from 53x to 56x? Neither sustainable for 24/7 anyways. Even locked at 4.5 Ghz I idle at 30-38c. This kind of stuff just isn't needed anymore.

I'm sorry $172 seems like too much for the H100, especially if it's only 5-8% cooler than high end air setups that cost less, I say it would need to come in at $130-$150 for it to be of value, or be 20%+ cooler.

I kinda gotta agree with this. That's why I'm rig-less now. High ambient temps burnt it slam up. It's smiling down on me from PC heaven

I intent on buying a mobile AC unit and monster air coolers for my next rig. I was gonna go liquid, but I'd get the same problems without some sort of external cooling.

Funds are indeed a problem. Good watercooling isn't cheap. Balls, though, is a different thing. You don't really need to be ballsy to build your own water cooling setup. You just need to work carefully and leak-test.

QFT. One thing sandy bridge needs is more socket space. Had to go back to running a megashadow in pull config because my noctua would not allow me to use my 8GB kit (and I was starving at 4gb) because they are not standard heatsink height RAM.

With so many cases having 140mm fan spots I would think a new Corsair product would take advantage of that.

dual fan rad is a given, but not hooking up with 140MM, I dont know about that.

EDIT: In case it was not clear, these little pocket Water setups do have place.

A) No giant heatsink on your CPU, = more case and motherboard compatibility, in fact smaller cases can be used...

B) You move the heat exhaust actually outside the case, so case flow matters less.
