System Specs

Can't change resolution on Win 7 with any driver installed

I have a 22" Asus full hd monitor and an Asus HD3650, i installed win7 32 professional and win 7 64 ultimate with windows update drivers, drivers from disc and the latest drivers from ati website, but i can't change resolution to 1920x1080

System Specs

It was used by my parents but just 4-6 hours per week, on Windows Vista everything was ok.

I've heard of Windows Update drivers screwing things around. Try uninstalling them.

I've uninstalled everything that was installed by windows update and the old drivers from Asus.

Humm, that 3650 can handle HD right?

edit, yet it is capable of 1080.

What connection are you using? DVI, HDMI, D-SUB?

Is windows detecting your monitor properly?

If not maybe you should install drivers manually. Drivers for the monitor I mean, not vga drivers.
