BitFenix Unveils New USB 3.0 Case Accessories

Today, BitFenix is pleased to announce a new lineup of products for users wanting to upgrade their systems to the new USB 3.0 standard. The BitFenix Internal USB 3.0 Adapter solves a common PC DIYer's problem of neatly connecting previous-generation USB 3.0 chassis that have male standard-A USB 3.0 connectors to their USB 3.0 motherboard with internal 20-pin USB 3.0 headers. This handy accessory allows users to connect their USB 3.0 cables from the inside of the PC chassis -- no more having to run cables from the back of the motherboard through the outside of the case to enable USB 3.0 ports. Wonder what USB 3.0 PCIe adaptors have the right headers for these connectors... for those of us who don't have USB 3.0 on the motherboard?

Who has a 3.5 drive bay anymore? I dont, and Nor have I in the last 4 cases I bought. :P

On topic, fabulous product for those with their current 3.0 frontside just being cords to plug in the back of the mobo, with the new mobos coming out with 3.0 headers this will be a nice 20$ expense to use them since your case currently cannot and you get 4 frontside usb instead of the standard 1 or 2 we see currently.

Many modern cases have 3.5 bays.

3.5" bays are still used for things like the USB front panel mentioned above, dual 2.5" SSD drive bays, etc. Why would people think that just because floppy drives are basically extinct, the bay isn't worth a spit to use?

Yeah, this. I really would like that 3.5" bay to add some USB3.0 ports to my case.

me 3 on the PCI-E card.

i have two rear ports on my mobo, but no headers for some at the front. its a royal ass to reach arond to the back of the case and connect things up to those ports. i could always get a USB3.0 hub, but its not as neat/tidy/compact/convenient.
