3870x2's tell what u think

ok guys i know these things are are alittle old but i bought both 3870x2's for 15 dollars so tell me what u think lol and what kind of performance will i see these in quadfire in i7 build? lol

and also they are working cards

What can you expect of them? A lot of heat, a lot of power consumption and performance sub-par to your GTX480.

For $15??? thats a win no matter what performance you get from them far as im concerned. They will play any game out there with out to much issues at medium to high settings i would think.

You got a steel there bud.

yea a buddy of mine pulled them out of his system cuz he got some new cards and he told me that i could have them for 15 bucks and tested them and they work fine and i really dont care for about performance that much cuz there going in a second rig lol

i already have extra ddr3 ram and x58 board just collecting dust just need a cpu they why imma going to use it in a i7 rig cuz just needing a cpu lol

ther not gona be that bad i ran them up till last year and they were pretty good ,loud and hot but not bad in fairness though there about 1 4870 in performance terms xfired

yea he told me these babies get hot lol...but when i was looking for the cards on ebay i seen a person selling a EK full waterblock for these for 25bucks i was thinking on getting it just dont know yet tho then i would have to try to find another waterblock for the other one lol

well you will want i7 just for the driver overhead and proper scaling lol but overall should be pretty interesting to see what kind of performance they can give in quadfire on modern games

you should set the rig up and bench it on some games.

You ovbiously don't know Freaksavior. You may not know that he A) overclocks AMD chips and B) has a passion for out of date hardware.

I remember his 7900GTX thread and his DDR1 overclocking with something like 3V on the ram to get 500MHz.
