Wow, I can actually list servers by most populated and still get it to show the lowest pings 1st

.

I can watch replays of my previous round through theater mode. Man I missed this feature. Haven't seen it since BF2.

My bullets actually do full damage. With 16 left in the clip I don't have to worry about reloading because I am confident that the I can get another 2 or so more before reloading.

Graphics aren't all that great but after a few rounds I don't seem to mind at all.

I'm no real fan of the buying perks, etc though. It's just redundant to me and should be available once you reach a certain level, etc.

And it seems that this game doesn't keep tabs of your k/d in your profile. Or maybe I haven't found it yet, don't know...

Nah, it ain't bad. The only thing I noticed is there is a stark difference between a clean and a hackfest match. You gotta try a few servers to get one that is your preference. So far ping doesn't seem to matter all that much when it's less then 100.

The main problems I have with Black Ops are the hit detection, the spawn system, and the horrific lag if you don't like within 2mi of the server and have a great internet connection. Those things alone break the game for me.

Hmm, I've honestly haven't seen or experienced that. Hit detection is (by it being hit scan) is far better. That's the 1st thing I noticed. One thing in particular is that I get the full bullet damage and thus not needing to continue spraying while still registering hits (from BC2).

Spawning has been the same in the COD MP for a long time now. I think most will now that it can rotate. As far as lag, again, I've tried a few and didn't notice any issues so far.

As with most COD MP games you want to invest some time tweaking your cfg file.

Well, I'm still like a fish out of water with it - played it for less than a minute. I selected a practice server I think, walked around a bit, got shot by erocker (thanks!) hit F to respawn...

and then all my controls stopped working, including the mouse buttons, but Escape works. Impressive. I've currently done a ctrl-alt-delete and Task Manager to get out of it.

I'll see if I can figure out what's going wrong before I condemn it.

EDIT: Oh sh*t, it's in talk mode somehow!

Every key I touch is coming up at the top of the screen. Now, how to get out of it...

ANOTHER EDIT: It was the tilde character I'd pressed. Pressing it again takes you out of talk mode. Multiplayer combat training looks pretty good and I'm sure I'll like the rest of it. The price is finally reasonable now, so I'll get the game.

As it is free there's no real reason not to check it out, but basically it doesn't have shit on BC2. Everything is twitch based, very fast pased, very in your face, nothing is destructable, you've seen everything before.

The styling of the Nuke Town map is pretty awesome though, even with people wanting to kill me for no good reason.
