MW3 may bring back Dedicated Server support

I'll believe it when I see it. Though they certainly have some fierce competition this time around and the more selling points the better, of course. 'Course for them "this time around" mean this particular year but the fact remains.

I wonder what kind of dedicated servers they are going to implement, the dedis COD4 had or the ones like CODBO, i hope they are like COD4 dedicated servers, i still play COD4. MW2 matchmaking sucks, where i live the game is unplayable.

at first i was thinking you meant the ability to host yourself - but this just means the ability
to view a server list in the game, correct?

I'm willing to bet it will be more CODBO hosted by game servers, not host where you want, and again, no mods. Why would they change something that is obviously a money maker for them and game servers? The majority of gamers are suckers and will gladly fork over their first born for the latest rehash of crap coming out of the big publishers. MW2 sales proved this to be the case.

No the way I understand it your first impression is correct--you can host yourself and don't have to rent a server at a data center (which in turn gives a cut back to to the publisher, of course).

I guess I could be wrong. I don't play this franchise.
