Hi Guys
Just upgraded & installed my new mobo chip & ram earlier. After installing windows, updates & programs I left it on to do a defrag for a couple of hours. When I came back Asus Fan Expert had sent a popup warning saying the motherboard temperature is 123c (253.4f) which cant be right surely?!!! I popped off the side to have a look and the VRM heatsinks up top are room temp but the heatsink towards the bottom, where a traditional "southbridge" would be, is pretty hot to the touch (though i can leave my finger on it without burning). Is this a common thing with these boards/Asus Fan Expert and nothing to worry about? Or do i need to reseat this heatsink on this "southbridge" area of the board? |
