Arctic Announces Accelero Twin Turbo II Universal VGA Cooler with G-1 Thermal Glue
Arctic released a new version of its iconic universal graphics card cooler, the Accelero Twin Turbo II. The cooler can handle thermal loads of up to 160W, and now comes bundled with the G-1 Thermal Adhesive, letting you install the included memory and VRM heatsinks without any thermal pads/tape. Measuring 217 (L) x 122 (W) x 53 (H) mm and weighing around 900 g, the Accelero Twin Turbo II is a performance VGA cooler that uses a large heat pipe-fed aluminum fin array that's ventilated by two 92 mm fluid dynamic bearing, PWM-controlled fans that spin between 1000~2000 RPM. The cooler supports nearly all single-GPU graphics cards. It is priced at €44.54 in Europe and $63.32 in the US (excl. taxes).

I wonder how this performs compared to their previous Twin Turbo Pro

That price and it can't cool high-end nvidia cards?

Well I suppose there wouldn't be any complaints of the cooling modules falling off : /
None the less this is a much better design since they have gone back to the Twin Turbo original heat pipe layout. The last Twin Turbo Pro heat pipe layout placed the heatpipes straight over a set of memory chips leaving no space to install memory cooling modules Last edited by Widjaja; Jun 22, 2011 at 01:36 PM. |

This thermal adhesive is designed to be easily removable.

My thoughts exactly. I have ran S-1 coolers with my own fans on them, and they are incredible. This is just an updated version.
Compatibility chart must be wrong since it lists the 6770 and not the 5770. They are supposed to be the same card, AMD even lists that you can x-fire them together. This is a shame, there was another cooler made by Scythe a few months back I would have loved to try on a 5770.... in either case the coolers cost almost as much as the card, so it is not worth playing with. |

What really is the point in this if it doesn't cool the higher end stuff. I don't know of anyone buying low end and clocking up. When it gets to that, might as well just buy a better board to begin with.

It does do GF104/GF114. The list given to TPU is incomplete. I agree that the price is terrible. I got my AXP and the 470 mounting kit for only a couple bucks more than this brand new.

160W ouch that pretty weak. About as strong as a stock cooler on most low-mid range cards. My 480 uses about 340W during benching sometimes even more.

Hm...judging from the replies this cooler regardless of the bigger fans compared to mine is still pretty much only a cooling performance upgrade for single slot cooled cards and noise reduction for higher end cards with the con of losing one to two slots. :/
I guess there is only so much cooling that can be done with the given space. Still now looking at the price yes this is steep and not what I expect from arctic. To me arctic is supposed to be well priced after market cooling hardware. |

Why you guys are talking crap instead of actually looking on arctic site
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vg...us.html?c=2182 this cooler cools the very high end market of vga's..Also take a look at mounting kits available.I think you can buy an nvidia kit for Twin turbo 2 that fits the 560 series..The price of the Twin turbo 2 is around the same like the old twin turbo pro.I have a twin turbo pro on my 6950 |

Yes because arctic have 2 coolers on different price segments..This is why the twin turbo II don't have the compatibility with very high end vga's like 580.On the other hand on the bottom of the page there are special kits for specific vga's..

Reading fail! It's not even about that cooler man ![]() It's about a new one that was 150w cooling capacity. So there's no crap talk from us, it can't cool the highest end cards because they run hotter than that. |

I think he's right, just accidentally linked to the wrong cooler
http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vg...ii.html?c=2182 That lists GTX 460 and 560 compatibility. |
