Indeed, but does donanimhaber tend to be legit? And it mentions that they spoke with Elaine Liao from PowerColour, not AMD officials themselves.

You might be able to use a google translator, not sure.

It also states that it will be based upon 40nm technology afterall and not the 28nm announced by AMD. I ofcource cannot know the legitimacy of the source, would just share since you asked
Did you actually read the link to Donanimhaber? There was no mention of a 2012 release at all in the original link.

Thanks, I blindfoldedly took the word of the danish forum, turns out they must have had a wrong translation

anyways I used google translate for "serisi ekran kartlarının son çeyrekte pazarda olacağını belirtiyor."

Turns Elaine also announced that it will be coming late Q4 , thanks for the clarifcation EastCoast

Although I do not understand why several forums refer to Donanimhaber and make the same mistake as the danish forum e.g. http://vr-zone.com/articles/powercol...012/13340.html

Whilst Donanimhaber clearly does not state this?

Well for me personally I intentionally kept my 5870 when I built my SB rig. I know the next gen 6xxx series don't give any significant gains over my current card. I still have more "horsepower" so to speak over the 6xxx's So I will sit on this 5870 until the next gen 7xxx's come out.

I prefer to keep the topic objective, reasonings based upon radeon past releases, the upcomming 32nm tech, the nvidia 6xx series could also be relevant to mention..
Looks like the Radeon 7000 series will be out in Q1 2012...

Other current articles are placing the HD 7000 series late this year and the HD 7000 APU "Trinity" in Q1 2012.

The story you post is actually old. Lenzfire is nothing but a site that rips articles from other sites for traffic.

That article (donanimhaber) was actually misunderstood by most referring to it, it stated that the HD 7000 series was due Q4 2011, and not Q1 2012.

Well, in any case I think it's a safe bet that the 7K series will be coming out within the next 6 months - 1 year based on all these rumors

Not exactly man. I would expect more changes than just a further shrink/optimization of 5k/6k

ye too bad some sources online(google it) says the 7xxx architecture due out q4 2011 would be the shit-box models sorry to rain on your parade, if your building a system don't hold your breath, the high end versions wont be out till the quarter following the 7xxx's debut, so whenever that happens, add 3month on top of it, assuming no delays(pretty optimistic imho to assume that)
