Headset for a headbanger

Hello

I am in seach for a headset for my birthday but I have a problem choosing.
I will use them mostly for music and playing games (because of the mic). And that will be done in the evening or at night so a LED wouldn't hurt

Firstly I don't know if I should get a noise canceling (or does that remove parts of your voice by mistake), or omnidirectional microphone or doesn't matter at all?

Second: Headphone part of the headset should be simple. I don't want 5.1 surround soud because I have 5.1 speakers. Wireless won't be necessary because I will use them within 2.2 meters (or however is the cable long) of the PC.

Third: Is it better to buy headphones and a good microphone and spent twice as much or more as the headphones
P.S. Please tell me if people are still talking in online games

If we go about style, I would die for Razer Orca but I have various problems getting one, plus it doesn't have a mic (yeah, that's why the third option)

If you have suggestions or you know where I can gather information please let me know
It pisses me off but every time I am searching for something I never find it but when I don't, internet is just full of it

I forgot: the budget is around 55-85€ = 50-75£ = 80-120$ for the headset or the headphones alone
Thank you

Steelseries Siberia V2 or Sennheiser PC350/PC360 if you want built in mic, Audio Technica AD700 if you don't need built in mic.

Dr Dre beatz are good for deep bass, I wouldn't recommend noise cancelling as it produces a slightly artificial sound, though if you are only looking for a good sounding pair of phones with good bass, this probably won't matter too much, an important question is what is your budget. I would also recommend buying a $10 mic and get a dedicated pair of phones rather than an headset but thats just me.

... compared to $10 Skullcandies and iBuds. If you want good deep bass you take a look at Beyerdynamics, better sound quality for the same price. I would not recommend Dr. Dre unless you can get one at 1/3 the average street price, and that is harder to find than Gordon Brown's brains.

Yes I have seen Siberia V2, they are very nice (specially green and white) but don't know if the mic is good
Technica AD700 are beauties, they defenitly go head to head with Orca

Are you seriously judging headphones by looks right now

It's a figure of speech: ''they look nice'' Yes, there is some look judging in there too, I can't deny that
But by the quality of the headphones they all have 18-20000Hz and there is just the other stuff for evaluation (driver size, enhaced bass, cabel type...), I do look through the specifications

Get closed headphones if you want better bass response -My tastes would drive me toward the Denon AH-D1100s, Audio Technica ATH-A700s, or the JVC HP-RX900s (if you want to spend a bit less). Also might want to look into something like the Sony MDR-XB700s.

My wife hates when I listen with my closed cans -I can't hear her yell at me :-P With my AD1000s, well, she knows I can hear her.
