X1900XTX Lower 3d clock speeds on core

Firstly Hi to all
I have a small query maybe some kind person can help me with, I purchased a X1900XTX from Overclockers uk it was a connect3d card, the 1st was artifacting so they replaced within the 28 days initial period, the second had a faulty dvi port which caused a flicker after 2 months, this was sent back to C3D and 1 month later I have got a new card back from them. Now when I look in CCC I see that the requested 3d speeds are core 641, mem 774, memory looks fine but core is slightly low only 7mhz on the 2 previous cards I have had. So I try to overclock it with overdrive and it is not having any of it with any cats from 6.3 upto 6.7 and the bios carries a higher number than the bios in the Ati collection on this site, i am alittle paranoid that they have given me a b grade card or it is a X1900XT flashed to XTX ish speeds due to short supply of product etc any suggestions why this could be and is it worth me flashing to a earlier bios, as on this site? I have never used a flashing tool for a Grfx card before and I am a little wary of this! My other two cards appeared stable at 689/798 and can not understanxd why this one is not having any overclocking at all!

Thanks in advance for any help

Well the bios info is this

BIOS Version 009.012.005.002

BIOS Part Number 113-A52021-110

BIOS Date 2006/04/24

I can not check the memory chips as this would void my warranty if i remove the HSF.

Something is not right with this card!!!!!!!

I would reflash the card with a bios from >>> http://www.techpowerup.com/bios/ and flash your card be sure to grag the correct bios though, I see there is not one for connect3d but there is one from sapphire that should work. !!!Let me know what happens

Is there any thing other than make sure that overdrive is off before i flash? Also when I extract my current bios it is saved as a rom file and the bioses that are downloadable are in bin format, I just want to know that if something goes horribly wrong then I can reflash back to the C3D one and do not want any hiccups with the differant file types. One last thing there is a Connect 3d one there dated 21/12/2005 would that be ok or would you go for the Sapphire one you said?

ya the different extention are normal and some people have had to knock thier clocks back to 500/500 in order to get the flash to work ,I my self have not had to set clocks back and no problem with the flash.
