Need suggestions on removing stuck screws from laptop

I've got about six screws that click as they turn and make no progress as to coming out. Most are in holes. So pliers aren't really an option

It's possible they are simply fastened with a retainer so they won't fall out... you may be hearing the click on the retainer and the screws are already loose.

Other than that info, try gently prying up under the head with a knifeblade?

Strong magnet?

Magnets are a bad idea for any computer! I have chipped a few knife blades by doing that!

Instead a trick I had had is if a screw wont come out or is stripped, superglue the screw driver to the screw, let dry. Then try it. After you get it out, soak the tip and screw in acetone and the superglue will go away. That might be too complex for this case however.

I managed to get them out. 3 fell out when I put it down. Knocked another out. The rest got out when I lifted up the case.

Now opening the damn thing is proving to be tough.

Just checking the monitor connection
