P67 Sabertooth only registers one hard drive

I finished this build with the P67 Sabertooth TUF edition B3 revision a week or two ago and from the start it only registered one of my hard drives but I had them installed 2 different ways in my HAF-X but earlier I finally got around to changing them and it is still only registering one of them even though they are connected in exactly the same way. I would really like to get this resolved so I can exchange the non working hard drive if needed.

They are Seagate ST1000DL002 Barracuda Green 1TB 5900 RPM hard drives.

Switch the drives to each others sata connector, see if the non working one works on the same sata connector as the one that does work. You will know if it is the board then. If the non working one still does not work, i would say return it.

Also make sure you have them plugged into the black ports.

Okay I have isolated which drive is not being registered and am currently using the cables swapped with it running just fine, but it seems as if the second drive is still not being registered :/

If they both work on the first SATA port try using one of the other SATA ports for the second drive, also you could try switching the power cable for another one, also make sure your BIOS is up to date and you are using the latest IRST driver, also check BIOS settings.

They both register just fine in the BIOS and my BIOS are up to date as of last weekend if I'm not mistaken and it turns out they both show up in IRST just not in disk management :/

Did you format the second drive after you installed Windows or during the installation process? They shouldn't be in RAID unless you set it up, you can always check your BIOS to see if it is in RAID mode, though that shouldn't affect the drives, only provide the option to set them in a RAID.

My BIOS doesn't register it being in RAID mode and I don't remember but I believe I only had one drive in when I installed Windows and the problem is I can't format the second drive, they are listed as different drives in different ports in disk management but both are listed as the Master Boot Record.

Ok, the first part of the Second drive which is shown as your Disk 0 is for certain files Windows add's, usually during the Windows installation, the second drive itself isn't formatted, right click the Unallocated space and select format, though if the second drive is still on the first port you may want to switch back if it is for storage.

When I right click the unallocated space I don't have a format option I only have new simple volume, properties and help available to click with new spanned volume and new striped volume greyed out.
