Thermaltake Armor+, pwm fans

I'm selling my Thermaltake Armor+ case. An excellent case in many ways but two; one, the top bezel looks ridiculous (IMO), two, the pci quick release bracket is a crappy design. One that I ultimately removed (and subsequently lost) You can still screw in your add-in cards, and believe it or not, you're not missing out by having to screw them in, the old add-in quick release system was pretty bad, so bad that you'd likely be using screws anyway.

It does however have some real virtues, great for air cooling, ample space for water cooling, oversized cards or larger motherboards. Comes with 1 140mm intake fan, 1 230mm side intake fan, and 1 120mm exaust fan, all original and stock and in good condition, though the 230 mm fan makes a little noise when spinning up or down, Can also take two more 140mm intake fans on the front.

7 3.5in hdd trays, 7, 5&1/4in trays. FP includes Intel HD/AC 97, four usb 2.0 and one firewire, one e-sata connector.

Has a removable motherboard tray which makes working or benching a lot easier. The motherboard tray can be used just like a flatbed, then slipped straight into the case if that's something you want to use it for. As well it's a lot easier to simple put in a new system if you're not replacing your PSU, Optical, or hard drives. $90.00 shipped (roughly 35 + 55 shipping, price is firm) Would consider trading for a decent 650 Watt modular PSU, preferably still under warranty.

Update!: I've found the quick release bracket, so of course it's coming with the case. You can buy the, what I call a "wedge", these eminently breakable, badly designed pieces of plastic that are wedged between the quick release bracket and the card.here.

Just for the edification of those who've never seen these types of brackets before, if you follow the link and look at the wedge, you can sort of see a small, upside down, "U" shaped piece of plastic over on the right. That "U" shaped part of the wedge provides the pressure on the card to hold it in place. On the left side of the wedge, you can see the lever used to lodge and unlodge the wedge from between the bracket and the card you're using it for. That lever can produce much more force than that "U" shaped part of the bracket can bear. And the plastic is fairly brittle as well (It does have to be somewhat stiff in order to hold it in place right?) and thin. You can go buy them, but it will be a neverending loop of purchases to keep yourself in wedges. I Strongly recommend NOT buying them.

a scythe kaze pwm fan, runs 24-110 cfm. very quiet as well. has only seen light use. originally bought to create a push pull configuration on my Prolimatech megahalems that in the end didn't seem worth it. SY1225SL12H-P
8.00 shipped.

A Xigmatek pwm fan with white LEDs. (grey plastic) PLA12025S12M-4 approx. 90 cfm, 30db.
$8.00 shipped.

You are exactly right. The bracket was absolutely horrible. I had one and it didn't work with anything. Good thing you removed that bracket as that action is a service to the customer indeed!

I stepped out onto the midway. I was looking for the pirate
ship and saw this small, old tent at one end. It was blue,
and had white lights hanging all around it. I decided to check
out the tent, it seemed I could hear music coming from inside.
As I walked toward it, I passed a crowd of people at the sideshow.
I couldn't figure out why they would want to wait in line. I
pulled back the drape thing on the tent. There was a crystal
ball at the table, and behind it, a girl wearing a hat. She
smiled, and asked me if I wanted my fortune read. I said okay,
and sat down. I thought about it for a minute, and asked her
if she would rather go on the roller coaster instead.

Creeping up into the sky. Stopping, at the top and,
starting down. The girl grabbed my hand, I clutched it
tight. I said good-bye to the ground.

Far below, a soiled man. A bucket of torn tickets at his side.
He watches as the children run by. And picks his teeth. Spinning
'Round, my head begins to turn. I shouted, and searched the sky
for a friend. I heard the fortune teller, screaming back at me.
We stuck out our hands, and met the winds.

The girl falters as she steps down from the platform. She
clutches her stomach, and begins to heave. The ticket-taker
smiles, and the last car is ready. Who told you that you
could leave?

The sun was setting by the time we left. We walked across
the deserted lot, alone. We were tired, but we managed to smile.
At the gate I said goodnight to the fortune teller. The
carnival sign threw colored shadows on her face, but I could
tell she was blushing.
