Which one to get

Hi i'm looking to build a pc that can handle BF3 on High settings my max monitor resolution is 1680X1050 i may get a full hd monitor

AMD Build:

Asus M5A99X EVO

Amd Phenom II 955 X4 AM3 3.2GHZ

G.Skill 8GB DDR3 PC-12800 F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL(1600mhz)

PowerColor AMD RADEON HD6950 1GB

Seasonic M12II 520W

zalman z9 plus

Intel Build:

intel core i5 2500k

ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional(same price as the asrock z68 gen3)

G.Skill 8GB DDR3 PC-12800 F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL(1600mhz)

Sapphire AMD RADEON HD6870 1GB

Seasonic M12II 520W

zalman z9 plus

System Specs

Switch out your ram
On that AMD rig 1600 cl6 performs the best. Anything above that returns are very small.

The intel build 4x2gb @2k cl9 or higher bandwith would work out better.

Don't bother switching out your display, just add AA.

So you want to choose between the 2 configurations? i5-2500K but try to squeeze the 6950 and make that 2GB.

I say go intel but get a 2600k or better. Other than that I think you're okay.

go with intel i5 2500k and keep HD6950,,, personally i would try to get an even better video card, but at high settings with 1680X1050 resolution HD6950 will be great
