I have successfully flashed 6950's to 6970's.As instructed in the guide how to mod it to 6970 i have done by putting single card. And yes it showed unlocked shaders and clock. But now i dont see Crossfire and CCC nor second gpu in Device Manger nor GPUz.
Things i have tried..
Fresh windows install..Tried driver..11.3-11.5-11.10 preview drivers but no success.
triple checked Crossfire bridge.im using single crossfire bridge
tried swaping the cards..
Tried by using only single gpu..just to make sure any card is defected.
Flashed back to 6950 (as original bios was saved)both the cards and yet no crossfire.
Updated bios of my mobo p8p67pro.
And now im out of options.Been googling all sorts of forums..Hope anyone here can help me.

have you tried a clean driver install?.

----

Secondly you should have posted this in the graphic card section of the forum...not in overclocking/cooling

Why not try a full reinstall of windows from the windows disk and not from an ISO image of the same thing you had before

Are the pci-e cables plugged into the second card?

Check GPUz to see if the second card is coming up at all.

Make sure you try reseating the second card since I had that problem once and it took me awhile to realize it.

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers for your board?

Couple of things to do, before reformatting (always a last resort)

  1. Make sure the Crossfire Bridges are connected
  2. Make sure that the Crossfire Bridges are not damaged (cuts , tears, dust free)
  3. Make sure all your 6-pin PCI-E connectors are in correctly
  4. Device Manager - > Display Adapters (How many are displayed?)
  5. If all else fails, download DriveSweeper and unistall all ATI programs/softwares and all the alike
  6. If Drive Sweeper fails, try running your GPU with only one and test the one that is not working
  7. If your GPU is faulty, try to reflash the 2nd GPU back to a 6950 (does it have a BIOS switch, if so swithc the BIOS)
  8. If all else fails you can Reformat Windows or RMA the card

Yes i installed latest chipset drivers....you are just trying to help me ,i dont think it should be offensive anyway.

Make sure the Crossfire Bridges are connected=======Yes
Make sure that the Crossfire Bridges are not damaged (cuts , tears, dust free)====Not Damaged
Make sure all your 6-pin PCI-E connectors are in correctly==Connected
Device Manager - > Display Adapters (How many are displayed?)===Only Single Gpu is showing
If all else fails, download DriveSweeper and unistall all ATI programs/softwares and all the alike===Im gonna install fresh windows..
If Drive Sweeper fails, try running your GPU with only one and test the one that is not working====Tried both the cards..and both are working fine..
If your GPU is faulty, try to reflash the 2nd GPU back to a 6950 (does it have a BIOS switch, if so swithc the BIOS)====I have reflashed both back to 6950 with original bios and both are working fine individually.Gpuz shows shaders and clock perfectly.

Goin to format and install windows again

This leads me to believe it may be motherboard related. What motherboard are you using and what bios is currently flashed to the board?

What PSU are you running? You could try switching the pcie cables, swapping which cards get which power cables, eliminating any PSU rail problem or cable problem.

If you install each card on it's own in the board, with the other not in the system, do both work properly?

Have you cleared CMOS by moving the jumper and removing the battery?

Yes both of them worked properly..
I have not clear CMOS ,moreover when I updated latest bios it seems it ,new bios cleared everything as all my over clocking profiles that are saved are gone and all other settings resetted to default :(

To lose OC profiles, is a good thing, as there are settings that are not open to the end user that may have changed. You never want to use profiles from old BIOS.

It is possible the CPU is not switching over the PCIe link in CPU to x8/x8 from x16. If you look in GPU-Z, does it say the working card is @ x8 link, or x16?

looks like theres afew with crossfire problems with this board after a quick google search.

try resetting the bios but before you do remove card from second slot then reset, apparently bios reset doesnt work with card in second slot.
if that doesnt work check the second slot only with card just in slot 2 "to make sure slot is not faulty"
