System Specs

Most powerful machine imagineable?

I say this: no supercomputers or nothing out of the future.
Motherboard supporting 2 NVidia 7950GTX video cards, 4 Dual-Core Intel Pentium Xeons with Hyperthreading (highest GHZ), 16GB DDR2 RAM (heat spreaders), 800W PSU, 3GB/sec SATA drive (let's say 250gig), RAID enabled, Connection supporting at least 10mb/sec down and 1mb/sec up, all cooled with 4 120mm fans, 2 intake 2 exhaust, PSU haveing 2 exhaust fans, and liquid nitrogen on everything
Also have thet sound card with the 64MB of XRAM. I never heard of sound cards haveing RAM before, and since this one does, put it in
Firewire and USB 2.0 slots and one of those things thatsits in the front of PC with firewire/usb for easy access
Estimated cost: $30,000
edit: also haveing one of those cards that has RAM on it and goes into pci-e 1x slot for 4gb page file
Estimated useful life (before upgrading to be able to play that newest game on max settings): 10 years
lol

um 1 xeons arnt great for gaming.
2 quad cpu rigs arnt good for gaming.
3 the psu would give up the ghost in 10 seconds
4 the estimated life would be about 1 year as the video cards can barly play todays games at max res and settings.

Yes, Prestonia and later do. Woodcrest (conroe based) doesn't.

As for 6800 being the fastest, try Woodcrest with quad channel FB-DIMM's.
