Major ATI Radeon X1900 Price Drops

ATI has already started to cut pricing of the Radeon X1900 series cards: Radeon X1900 CrossFire, X1900XTX, X1900XT and X1900GT because of the approaching Radeon X1950 series debut on the 27th. Essentially, all of the ATI cards have shifted down a price tier, leaving the top $500 price tag open for the Radeon X1950. Here's a list of the average price changes over the last few days:
  • ATI Radeon X1900 512MB CrossFire: $375, down from $500
  • ATI Radeon X1900XTX 512MB: $370, down from $500
  • ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB: $310, down from $370
  • ATI Radeon X1900GT 256MB: $280, down from $310
  • Sapphire Radeon X1900GT 256MB: $230, down from $250
Sapphire and PowerColor will also set the new pricing before August 27th.

ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB: $310, down from $370

well here in england before the price drop the X1900XT 512mb when released was about £370 / $705.079. then now its about £220 / $410. why does england always have to be more expensive than the US

I thought the X1950 XT-X was going to be targeted at $399 not $500.

Nice.

Personally I believe it is wort the $$$, but mainly as I enjoy shooting people in high resolution, with lower framerates. As opposed to 11111!!!!W00T framerates and low resolutions.
